Last Day of Mini-Sports

Today was the last mini-sports class.  Ethan just loves playing hockey and this session consisted of 2 days of hockey!  Even though he is a little down from a cold, he was running with the best of them.  I think he is finally grasping how to play (not just absently chasing after the puck) and how to score on the opposing team's goal.  It cracks me up to see his coach struggling to get 10 preschoolers to follow directions. Counting down....

In 2 weeks I will be running around like a mad woman trying to put together all of the things we are going to need for a 9 day round trip to Florida.  We are all very excited to take such a fun trip, but to be honest I am a bit nervous too.  This will be Ethan's first trip on an airplane.  I know he is going to love it and I need to stay positive about the whole thing.  The other thing I keep worrying over is the 2 day drive coming back.  Ethan gets antsy after the near 4 hours up north, I get the feeling we will be making regular stops.  <Breathe.....just breathe>  Disney World here we come!!!

Friends

We had playgroup at our house today.  I just love having Ethan's friends (and their Mom's) over.  The kids are all so cute and so different in how they interact with each other and how they play.  Ethan and I made some yummy strawberry cupcakes yesterday to share with his friends today, and boy did the kids gobble them up!  The house seems so quiet and empty when they all head home.  I always enjoy visiting with my friends and I am super thankful to have them!

Ethan's North House

Got back last night from a pretty nice weekend at the North House.  Andy got plenty of fun in working on the Vanagon, he grumbles a bit but I know he is loving every minute.  He also got Ethan's bedroom upstairs primed and nearly ready to be painted.  I would love for his room to be ready within the next few trips up.  I did not get much of anything done.  I have been sporting a large rash on my arm for over a week now, and between the anti-histamines, creams and the desire to claw my arm off, I just did not have the motivation for anything.  We did get plenty of baseball in though.

Blooms Needed

Seems to me that Spring decided to show up a month early.  It has been extraordinarily beautiful outside and I have been itching to get my flower beds into shape.  I have to remind myself that it is still way to early to plant flowers.  I have gotten them weeded and have conquered the dune grass that has been growing rampant.  Now all I need are some new blooms!  

Today Ethan plays mini-sports at the YMCA!  He says.."Yay, I love mini-sports!"
